The Odyssey and Harry Potter

Heroes have been indite about in any forms, shapes, and sizes, for as long as people have had stories to tell. This semester, we explored guileless epics that highlighted the age-old question; what makes a hero? Although these tales that we have elicitvas can be date back thousands of years, the antidote for what makes a hero has not changed. In fact, the same structure of pure heroes can be appoint in modern heroes scripted into our pop-culture today. A spell by the name of Joseph Campbell studied these phenomena and authenticated his conclusions in his keep, The Hero With a Thousand Faces. In this book he highlights the idea that both heroes are built up of the same basic comp acents. For example, similarities can be found betwixt Odysseus, from The Odyssey by Homer, and J.K. Rollings Harry Potter.
