Sundar Singh was born on 3rd September, 1889[1] and brought up in a devout Sikh wealthy family at Rampur in Punjab.[2] Singh received an excellent religious instruction from his mother. regular though they are Sikh by faith, his mother clever him in the Bhakti-tradition of Hinduism as well as of the Sikh religion.
