Abstract
ESL students might get bother during writing lesson. They just keep writing without being alert to composition and organization of their topic. This paper is aimed to discuss the advantages of read/write head occasion as prewriting activity to increase students writing skill. The paper first off reviews to related literature related to writing skill conjecture and the description of prewriting activity and mind mapping technique. As the findings, in that location be many advantages of mind mapping as prewriting activity. They be to see the relationship between ideas, to encourage students to group genuine ideas as together as they proceed and to improve students memory. It is inseparable that mind map is one of practice sessionful tool as prewriting activity which can help students improve their writing skill.
