Ted Hughes

To me, poetry is a valuable thing that everyone needs to check off just to add more variety on shipway to take things in, instead of just skimming the text. Ted Hughes has really captured my come to with his techniques, and his personal concerns made into beautiful poetry. Two poems which particularly set up me were half-dozen preteen Men and The Jaguar. Both being fragile, disturbing unless significant themes. He conveys his view and argument when at the same clock he blatantly shows you the image of them with his words. Six Young Men is talking around the story of hexad newfangled men before and after the war, and sets the image of what it would be like if we had withstand k presentlyn them and just kept barely a photograph of them. The Jaguar is based on puppet captivity, but talking as if hes expression down on the animals and experiencing what theyre doing.

Good poets teach lessons about life not only by what they say but by how they say it by anonymous. This quote applies so thoroughly to Ted Hughess poems, and in this case its certain that Ted Hughes is a good poet. A poem that particularly stood out to me is a ballad on the theme of war, the sadness of such young soldiers losing their lives fighting for their country.



In the poem Six Young Men, Young is the emphasized word in this title, and following it nicely is the inaugural line The celluloid of a photograph holds them well by the title and just the first line weve already open up six young men not alive and represent behind a plastic material. Thats already brought roughly emotion to the poem, a little sadness which is the emotion for the self-coloured poem. He then continues on with the same style of cutely vocalizing the real story and setting imagery, four decades that have faded and ochre tinged, Though their cocked hats are not now fashionable, Their shoes shine he here uses enjambment to supporting it flowing and emphasizes the emotion of the story.
