Researching history of my Puerto Rican culture, made me realize that, although I am Puerto Rican , I know very little to nothing about the island we chit-chat Isla Del Encanto (paradise island). For example I never knew how much this little island measured. The traditions and beliefs of Puerto Ricans islanders are heavily influenced by Puerto Ricos Afro-Spanish history. Many Puerto Rican customs and superstitions blend the Catholic religious traditions of Spaniards and the pagan religious beliefs of the West African slaves who were brought to the island commence in the sixteenth century.
