I believe the effects of the medias portrayal of sex activity on an adolescents sexual life is really determined by their upbringing. If an adolescent is raised around promiscuity, they will more than probable follow suit. Along with following suit and modeling the behaviors of their utilisation models, they will be more interested in sexuality and will take more heed into the sexual breeding and sexual behaviors that they see on the television or hark on the radio. On the other hand, if the adolescent is raised that sexuality is all establish on the come of respect a person has for themselves, they may grow a different imagine on what they see portrayed on television.

It is also outstanding that the adolescent has an open line of communication with their portion models. This appearance if the adolescent sees behavior on television that contradicts what they were taught, they could ask their intent models and generate a better understanding. I believe the medias effects will be determined by the amount of information provided to an adolescent by those they look up to. If the role models provide all the information necessary, the adolescent would have slight of a reason to go searching for information on sexuality elsewhere.



Now, this is non to say that an adolescent who receives information from a reliable source, will not be interested in what they see on television. What I am saying is that the prevalent information should come firsthand from someone that is trusted.

There has been guesswork about the media causing promiscuity or a forbid stereotype of how to act.
