E-procurement (electronic procurement) is the patronage to business procure and sale of supplies and services by means of the internet, as well as other information and networking systems, such as electronic data interchange (EDI) and enterprise choice planning (ERP) (J. Botha etal, 2008). E-procurement includes sourcing, negotiations with suppliers, and R and D co-ordination taking place on the internet and electronic market. Baily D.J.H defined e-procurement as the business to business or business to consumer or business to government purchase and sale of supplies, work and services through the internet as well as other information and networking systems such as Electronic Interchange and Enterprise Resource Planning.
