1) Introduction
This report is based on the policy efforts carried out for the bulwark and promotion of the Tigers in Nepal. Only one species of tiger is ready in Nepal which is Bengal Tiger. The scientific name of this species is Panthera Tigris Tigris. Lying at the top of ecological pyramid, tiger is an indicator species of a intelligent ecosystem. The conservation of tiger symbolises the conservation of all the species living withing its ecosystem.
Thus, addressing this life-sustaining issue, 2010 has been celebrated as the year of Tiger and so I have also choosen this sector of Tiger Conservation as the research topic for my term paper. This paper will basically focus upon the policy efforts on the tiger conservation, its status and curve holes.
2) Significance of the Study
Tigers argon one of the protected animals which are include in the list of IUCN Endengered Species and CITES Appendix I. they are also mentioned in the protected list of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation incite/Nepal. In context of Nepal, on that point are some unique(predicate) laws on tiger conservation. However, on one side the laws are not sufficient and on the other side there is not effective implementation of laws.
So, as it was necessary to critical review the laws related to tiger conservation, this adopt was carried out so that on one hand the information can be disseminated on laws related to tigers and on the other hand the policies can be revised for some recommendations.
3) Objectives
The objectives of this report are as follows:
To hit the books the history of tiger conservation in Nepal
To analyse the infix policies relevant to tiger conservation
To review the international conventions and treaties based on the tiger conservation
4) Methodology
